I work at Microsoft , as part of the AI Platform engineering team and help build all the AI products that are both used by Microsoft (other product and engineering teams) and by our customers. The areas I cover span Cognitive Services (Vision, Speech, Language, Decision), Azure OpenAI (#GPT4, #ChatGPT, #GPT3, DALL.E, #Codex, #CoPilot, etc), and Azure Machine Learning (AML), and am responsible for leading the custom engineering efforts on the platform.
This is my personal blog and whilst it reflects my experiences in my professional life, these are just my thoughts. Most of the entries are technical though sometimes they can vary from wacky to even political - however that is quite rare.
Quite often, I have been asked what’s up with the “gibberish” and the funny title of the blog? Some people even go the extra step to say that, this is a virus that infected their system (ahem) well. 😏 It is quite simple, and if you have still not figured it out then check out this link - what's in a name?
If you want to interact, I am more active on Twitter , and recently got on Mastodon ; you can check out my introduction below .

Hi, my name is Amit. I work at #Microsoft in the #ai platform team - we build all the AI products that are used by our customers and internally by other product and engineering teams.
I am responsible for custom engineering on the platform and span across the platform - including #Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI (#GPT3, #DALLE.2, #Codex, #Copilot), AML, etc.
I am a simple geek who loves to tinker and wallow in code. At home the dog rules after the wife. 🤓 🐶
Over the last year, @weehyong, Senja Filipi and I have been working on a #book - Practical Weak Supervision: Doing More with Less Data. I am super excited to share that book is out and you can get it now.
